Learn more about how birth works, what you can do to work with your body in labour, how to be a super birth supporter and ways to prepare to meet baby. You’ll meet other parents and get a range of tools to use in pregnancy, birth and early postnatal life.

Over the course of 6 weeks we will;

explore anatomy to help you understand the process of birthing and feel more confident learn about the terminology of birth, your choices and how to find balanced information practice deep relaxation & get to grips with some simple massage and optimal positioning techniques How to make plans for postnatal life

Emilie is a doula, antenatal teacher, yoga teacher and pregnancy and postnatal massage specialist. She originally trained as a doula with Scaravelli and Active Birth teacher Dominique Sakoilsky in 2008, after feeling the benefit of her classes during pregnancy and wanted to share the experience of support and trust in the body with others.

Since then she’s completed another doula training, had another child, finished her yoga teacher training, studied pregnancy and postnatal yoga with Nadia Narain, learnt pregnancy massage from Elaine Stillerman, explored dance traditions in pregnancy and birth, completed training in trauma sensitive yoga and as an Embodied Yoga Principles teacher. She has completed a course in Biomechanics for Pregnancy and Postpartum with Katy Bowman and Biomechanics for Birth with midwife Molly O’Brien.

Her passionate approach incorporates practical biomechanics informed movement, mindfulness, embodiment and yoga with ways to incorporate better movement and body awareness into everyday life.

Taught by Emilie, a doula, antenatal and yoga teacher with over 11 years experience working with families in the year of childbirth.
